Free Fridays! Vocabulary Word of the Day Sheet

I plan on using this next week in conjunction with some analogies we've been working on. Some of the vocabulary is difficult and this activity will really help the students to better understand the words. Thank you to Teaching Bliss for this excellent activity.

Free Fridays: Fact vs. Opinion High School Musical PowerPoint

Thanks to Melissa Petsch for a PowerPoint that is quick, but provides valuable information, as well as a review. The product says that it's for 3-5th graders, but I think this would appeal to middle school as well, especially at the beginning of the year as a review. I'm trying going to use this in my class next week and have my eighth graders take notes in the Cornell style so as to push it to a higher level.

Free Fridays! LOL Font

I've told you before, I'm a sucker for fonts. I got a new laptop last week because my old laptop crashed.  Never mind my research, worksheets, and PowerPoints, as I gasped, the first things I mourned were the fonts. No joke. I've invested hours in tracking down fun, creative fonts. Well, I'm happy to share another with you that I found on Teachers Pay Teachers, for FREE! Thanks to Krista Wallden I have a new font to add to my collection. Just click on the font below to go to Krista's page to download the font and bring a little excitement to your boring documents and worksheets!

** Free Friday! ** Diving Deep for Synonyms & Antonyms

This is the cutest PowerPoint I have seen about synonyms and antonyms. I think it could work for K-3 as a fun lesson in which you use an underwater grammar theme. You can download this in the Teacher Unleashed store on Teachers Pay Teachers. Here's what they have to say about their FREE product:

"This 21 slide PowerPoint presentation will take your students to the majestic ocean as they explore understanding synonyms and antonyms. The presentation gives a description of what synonyms and antonyms are, and gives several practice slides for students to create T-charts and interact with the PowerPoint using whiteboards or paper. At the end of the presentation there are four slides for students to practice test-prep questions. With exemplary graphics and animation, your students will be captivated and engaged!"
