Berate: (v) to speak angrily to someone because they have done something wrong

Synonyms: criticize, scold, harangue

Antonym: praise

Sentence: He was berated by his boss for losing the important file.

Condescending: (adj) behaving as though you think you are better, more intelligent, or more important than other people. Used to show disapproval. 

Synonyms: admiring, reverent

Sentence: Your condescending attitude makes you look like a snob.

Rebuttal: (n) a statement or charge made to prove that the charges or false

Synonyms: disproof, denial, negation

Antonym: acceptance, endorsement

Sentence: The lawyer gave his rebuttal against the prosecutor.
